I’m trying something new for my music recommendations, rather than post in my email I’m putting these on my blog so I can include more or less as I go.

Khruangbin (live)

My week started with a Sunday evening trip to see Khruangbin at the 3 Arena in Dublin on their ‘A La Sala’ tour. As you might expect, they played the whole of the new album straight through and then after a quick interlude off stage came back to share some older tracks.

I loved it, from creeping around the wide tiered stage to some unusual ‘dancing’, I thought their show had a great sense of humour alongside some great psyche sounds.

Top of the tree this week has to be the new Stuff Mixtape - 16 tracks that have been floating around my ears this month, lovingly prepared into an old fashioned mixtape for you. It's sixteen great tracks that I think you’ll enjoy.

Kendrick Lamar dropped a surprise album late last week - GNX is absolutely worth the listen, especially the Vandross sampling ‘Luther’ and the single Squabble up

Something New

Another great album this week is from London based band - Porridge Radio with Clouds in the Sky, They will always be there for me. Fantastic chamber-pop with excellent vocals, recommended. (Website)
