Monday Motivation. Let this week be the one where you lock in some new questions to ask in interviews. I’m continuing my series on preparing for interviews with a list of 21 great questions YOU can ask, and why you should be asking them.

Communication. Five excellent tips to help you respond rather than react. I love #3,  here is some more practical advice to improve your active listening skills

Procrastination. Three practical ways to beat procrastination without wholesale changes in your life. #3 has been a big help. Alternatively, you could take the view that procrastination doesn’t actually exist.

Problems. The nature of problems. Finding solutions is much easier when you truly understand the nature of what you are trying to solve.  I love this way of understanding what the real problem being solved is.

Unspoken. Fifteen workplace body language cues you should know.  Understanding non-verbal cues in the office might be just the superpower you need.

Focus. How to find time to do things you actually WANT to do.  The always excellent Ness Labs explains how time shielding can help you take control of your schedule.

Foundations. The universal foundations for a good life.  #3 is one of the most truthful things I have ever learned. It took me time, but once you know it’s like unlocking a great secret.

Stuck. If you feel like your life is in a rut, science has some great ways to get out of that feeling.

Tao. Four practical life lessons from Taoism. I love #4 here, and the idea of not trying so hard.  It feels like many people take everything so seriously, we could do with some lightness.

Sleep. How and why Pink Noise can help you sleep. Once you know the science, you can use this simple generator to test the theory out.

Defrag. Especially for readers who remember Windows 98. A true blast from the past.  It never really fixed anything, but you felt better whilst it was going.

Finally. What beats Rock?  This is a fun twist on my favourite game rock-paper-scissors. Starting with rock, make a chain of things that beat the previous one… I got to 16 this morning, I’m sure you can do better.

Ane Brun: 'I was in a very special, vulnerable state of mind' | Business Post

🎧 This week, my musical recommendation is from the incredible Ane Brun, a Norwegian singer/songwriter and guitarist who has released a live album of their recent 20th Anniversary Live Tour.

The 21 song collection revisits tracks from across twelve studio albums, featuring music that swings between ethereal electronica, scandi-pop and a smattering of country for good measure!

I have always loved the production and vocals of Bruns music - and this album captures the joy of an amazing live performance.

I've added Brun to my bucket list of artistes I'd like to see live.

Highly recommended

If you have any recommendations of music that might feel a bit off the beaten track - be sure to hit 'reply' or comment below on the site and let me know what I should be listening to. Thanks to everyone that has shared some amazing music already.
