It's National Poetry Day in the UK, and Twitter is full of posts tagged #nationalpoetryday , its nice that for just one day more people are thinking about poetry.

I only know two poems by heart, this one:

“Come Home.” — George McDonald - The Sweetest and Shortest of Songs

And this one from school:

“Einstein’s eyes were filled with tears
when he heard about Hiroshima.
Mr. Tamiki had no eyes left
to show his grief” — Colin Rowbotham

Note - I’m indebted to Colin Rowbothams brother, who contacted me to correct a misattribution of this poem.
