Updates

A second short working week after a quiet and rainy Easter weekend in Dublin. Springtime seems to be on pause, so we're hoping for a brighter week.

I'm off for an adventure this weekend, updates next week - but I'm hoping to have some dry weather to get some photographs taken.

I'm enjoying Minority Rule by Ash Sarkar at the moment, full review to follow - but this is a run through of the 'culture wars' of recent years, with some detailed explanations how some big stories have played out (albeit a little one-sided). I'm finding a strong connection to the George Monbiot book - The Invisible Doctrine that I read last year, but this is more about where the 'rubber hits the road'.

A flay lay photograph of the book 'Minority Rule' by Ash Sarkar.

My album of the week is the brand new release from Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade. Cancionera is lovely collection of new tunes in a modern Latin American style.

Natalia has previously worked with Adrien Quesada, and has won a slew of Grammy awards along the way - as well as having performed at Carnegie Hall.

I'm really enjoying the sunshine feel of this new album - as well as her extraordinary voice.

Highly Recommended listen.
